Paul Moseley

Artist Bio

Paul Moseley is an award-winning thumbstyle guitarist, winning both international and national thumbpicking competitions in 1990 and 1991. Moseley was also inducted into the National Thumbpicker’s Hall of Fame in 2006. He has performed alongside of such legendary names as Paul Yandell (Chet Atkin’s righthand man), Eddie Pennington (world-renowned Merle Travis style guitarist), and Tommy Emmanuel (the premier thumb and fingerstyle guitarist of our time), just to name a few.

Living in Beaver Dam, KY, Moseley started playing the guitar at the age of 10, teaching himself by listening to Chet Atkins albums and watching him on television. Moseley’s parents provided him with the loving support and encouragement he needed to become the player he is today.

Moseley is known for his smooth playing and incredible tone, thus his unofficial nickname of “Mr. Smooth” by some of his peers, and he’s considered one of the better Chet Atkins-style players of today.
