Davide Facchini

Artist Bio

For more than twenty years Davide Facchini has been active in the Italian and international guitar scene exhibiting remarkable proficiency and versatility. With a Degree from the D.A.M.S. (Disciplines of Arts, Music, and Show) in Bologna, Italy, with a thesis on the “Pedagogic Reasons and Aspects of Popular Music using in School,” Facchini worked as musical consultant for Mediaset Television Group, the biggest private TV company in Italy and Europe, located in Milan.

Teamed with gifted vocalist, Anita Camarella, they’ve toured extensively over the years including prestigious festivals and renowned concert halls throughout Europe, Russia, and the United States. Committed to researching, analyzing, and working out songs from the “Italian Swing era” of the 1930s and 40s, their music has been celebrated on radio stations around the globe in such far away regions as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Tunisia, Portugal, Italy, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Croatia.

Facchini has authored four books dedicated to some of the most beautiful Italian melodies transcribed for guitar; La Famiglia Canterina (2013), Juley (2012), A portrait of Raf Montrasio–Italian Songs on Guitar (2010), and Italian Fingerstyle Collection (2009). CD’s produced to date include; La Famiglia Canterina (2013)–honored with the LadyLake Indie Music Awards Best Album 2013 U.S.A., Spaghetti Alla Chitarra (2007), Juley (2004), and Quei Motivetti Che Ci Piaccion Tanto (2002).
