Chris ”Rocket” Bergström

Artist Bio

Chris ”Rocket” Bergström grew up on the eastern coast of Sweden in the providence of Gastrikland in a village outside of Sandviken called Jarbo. His interest in the world of guitars and Americana rock ‘n’ roll began at the age of thirteen, and it didn’t take long for Bergström to form his first band, The Runaway Boys.

Now residing two hundred kilometers east of Stockholm in the town of Örebro, the 29-year-old Bergström is a renown full-time working guitarist. Highly proficient at fingerpicking with musical roots firmly planted in rockabilly, rock ‘n’ roll, rhythm ‘n’ blues, and western swing, Bergström is the go-to guitarist with such successful Swedish artists as Eve Eastwood, Lily Locksmith, Hawkins Hawaii Trio, and the celebrated touring Elvis tribute show “A Date with Elvis”.

“I tour all the time and my love for the music is hard to describe in words,” says Bergström. “One of my main guitars is a G6128-TDS Duo Jet from 2009 equipped with TV Jones T-Armond pickups. Gretsch is the closest guitar brand to my heart, period!”

In between touring, recording sessions, and teaching, Bergström keeps active posting solo performances on his social media channels.
