It was this early exposure to live music coupled with an influential childhood teacher, Dennis Rogers, that sparked his passion to play music. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music degree from the USC Thornton School of Music, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the USC Thornton School of Music, where he studied with Peter Erskine.
