SAVANNAH, GA – The Gretsch Company is proud to announce that Dinah Gretsch, Executive Vice President and CFO, and long-time advocate for music education, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the newly formed Savannah Music Commission, a public body established through the recent passage of House Bill 762. Signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp on May 1, 2025, HB 762 created the Savannah Music Commission to champion the city’s music industry by promoting local events, supporting musicians, and fostering collaboration among artists, venues, and the broader creative community.

The commission is tasked with helping shape policy, partnerships, and opportunities that strengthen Savannah’s music ecosystem. Its work will include supporting music education, expanding live performance opportunities, and reinforcing the city’s network of independent venues and studios. It also aims to strengthen connections between the music and film industries.

As Savannah’s reputation as a music hub continues to grow, the commission will focus on honoring the city’s musical heritage while attracting new talent, events, and investment.

The nine-member commission brings together a diverse mix of professionals representing various areas of Savannah’s vibrant music and entertainment landscape:

  • State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah)
  • Mary Dugas – Savannah Music Collective
  • Matt Campbell – B.I.G. Entertainment Network
  • Dinah Gretsch – Gretsch Company
  • William Austin Smith – Composer
  • Brian Hudson – Georgia Music Partners
  • Harold Yellin – HunterMaclean
  • Monty Jones, Jr. – Enmarket Arena
  • Trey Myers – Turnipblood Entertainment

In addition to her new role, Dinah currently serves on the NAMM Foundation Board and the Georgia Music Foundation Board, further underscoring her lifelong dedication to advancing music education and supporting the arts.

“Dinah’s decades of leadership in the music industry and her unwavering commitment to musicians make her an exceptional choice for this important role,” said Lena Thomas, Director of Finance & Operations of The Gretsch Company. “Her vision and expertise will help shape Savannah’s future as a thriving hub for music and the arts.”

Congratulations to Dinah on this well-deserved honor and on continuing her mission to advance music and creativity in Savannah and beyond.
