Visit Will Gretsch at the 2022 NAMM Show!

As long as there has been a NAMM Show (100+ years!) the 139-year-old Gretsch Company has had family members in attendance to show their support of the music industry and music education programs, and to show their wares. The 2022 NAMM Show, taking place from June 3 to 5 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California, is no exception. Will Gretsch, a 6th generation Gretsch family member and one of Fred and Dinah Gretsch’s 16 grandchildren, will be at the Gretsch booth (#6217) to greet the worldwide Gretsch community of retailers, musicians, music lovers, and fans. Stop by and say hello to Will and get a collector’s Gretsch tote bag while supplies last.

In addition to sharing a deep passion for making the finest-quality drums and guitars, Fred and Dinah Gretsch embrace an equally deep love for music education and music outreach programs. In support of the Gretsch family’s mission to “Enrich lives through participation in making music,” two foundations were established more than a decade ago: The Gretsch Foundation and Mrs. G’s Music Foundation. In 2021, Fred and Dinah Gretsch made a major gift to Georgia Southern University, including historic drums, guitars, and company archives, to establish the Fred and Dinah Gretsch School of Music. In 2022, the school hired professional guitarist and composer, Eric B. Davis, as its inaugural Gretsch Distinguished Scholar of Guitar and Music Industry.

Google search “Gretsch Museum” for more information and do plan to visit in Savannah, Georgia. The museum is open 24/7 and is free to the public. And as we like to say . . . be well, travel safely, and be musical always.
