Senior Accountant

Location:  Fred Gretsch Enterprises, Pooler, GA.

Reports to:  Director of Operations & Finance

Scope of Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and efficient handling of financial and payroll functions including:

Accounts Receivable audits, Accounts Receivable collections, daily banking, royalty audits, royalty collections, payroll, and employee record keeping.  Support the Gretsch ownership and management team.  Understand and be a resource to the team relative to Gretsch finance reporting, policies, procedures, and programs.

The senior accountant has no direct reports.

General Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • Minimum bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledge of and minimum of eight years experience in accounting in public or private company
  • International banking experience a plus
  • Experience creating budgets, collections, and auditing
  • Knowledge of license agreements beneficial
  • Excel expert level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of personalities worldwide
  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated and capable of achieving results with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizer
  • Accountable: Takes 100% responsibility for accurate and reciprocal communication pro-actively (not “Didn’t you read my email?”)
  • High standards of accuracy

Accounts Payable Specialist & Office Manager

Location:  Fred Gretsch Enterprises, Pooler, GA.

Reports to:  Director of Operations & Finance

Scope of Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and coordinate support services of the office, computer operations, and Accounts Payable.  Provide supervision for all clerical aspects within the organization. Maintain safe office environment. Coordinate updates and train staff on computer functions.  Assure accurate, timely, and efficient handling of all data input and Accounts Payable. Support the Gretsch Executive Management Team.

Manager will be responsible for:

  • Accounts Payable
  • All contract negotiations and renewals
  • Maintains accounting calendar
  • IP (Intellectual Property) registration renewals
  • Records and contracts management
  • Foundation invoicing
  • Company insurance / liability, inventory, and vehicles
  • Supervises A/P clerk (hiring and reviews)
  • Supervises office administrative assistant  (hiring and reviews)
  • Opening and closing office
  • Computer / bringing up, backups, taking down
  • Liaison with outside computer support programmer
  • Maintaining updates on all PCs
  • Supervising all data input in timely manner

General Requirements and Essential Skills:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree
  • Accounts Payable supervision experience
  • Five to seven years experience as a direct manager
  • Experience in international business (import, export)
  • Demonstrates skills in accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated and capable of achieving results with minimal supervision
  • Experience with computer mainframes (we do not use a package accounting software program)
  • Experience working directly with CPAs
  • High standards of accuracy
  • A step-up-to-the-plate attitude
  • Problem sensitivity: the ability to know when something is wrong or likely to go wrong/recognizing problems/computer necessity
