The Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS) Convention, July 12 – 15

The “Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention is a wonderful place to meet fellow pickers, steal as many licks as you can, and celebrate the music of one of the greatest musicians the world has ever known.”

The annual CAAS Convention is held at the Music City Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center each year in July. Enjoy four days and nights packed with the music of the legendary Chet Atkins. Hear music ranging from gypsy jazz to classical, and pop to country. Also experience the music of those Chet has influenced, both young and young-at-heart, who have taken his and their own music all over the world. Performers at the convention are a virtual Who’s Who of the guitar world. Past conventions have featured appearances by such greats as Jerry Reed, Earl Klugh, Steve Wariner, Albert Lee, Brent Mason, Tommy Emmanuel, Paul Yandell, Doc Watson, Mark O’Connor, Jorge Morel, Suzy Bogguss, Boots Randolph, and Los Indios Tabajaras, just to name a few. Each year dozens of guest artists perform workshops and up-close performances concurrently throughout the day, followed by concerts each evening. The Convention concludes Saturday night with a gala Chet Atkins tribute concert.
