Gretsch Team Mt. Fuji Climb - July 26, 2013

Fred Gretsch and the Gretsch team from Kanda Shokai in Japan successfully scaled Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest and most prominent mountain at 12,388 feet, on Friday, July 26. The climb, which was in celebration of the Gretsch Company's 130th anniversary as well as the 25th anniversary of Kanda Shokai representing Gretsch guitars and drums in Japan, took approximately 12 hours to complete.

The team prepared for the climb for weeks by breaking in their gear (see their "Fuji wear" below) and lots of walking. And with that proper preparation, lots of enthusiasm and commitment to the goal, the team made it to the top!
